Take Action to Make Haiti Green Now!

Recently, Marthe Bien-Aime, a new member of The Haitian Alliance, asked the following question:

"Haiti vert is a beautiful dream that can be achieved, of course! Imagine the people using those trees for charcoals and not replanting.....i would like more information on this though.....how could i as a member of the Haitian Alliance can really take action to cause this beautiful dream to become reality?"

This entry is one possible answer to Marthe's question. Take it and run with it Marthe. It's great to have you on the team!

How can you help make Haiti green?

As a member of The Haitian Alliance, to make Haiti Green, you can take action immediately as follows:

  1. Spread the word throughout your circle of influence. The word to spread is that the dream is real. So many, both in Haiti and the Diaspora are blinded by resignation. You are the catalyst that creates and sustains the realization of the dream. You are the one!

  2. Enroll others such that they see and experience themselves as "The One", and invite them to our next members meeting. Our next meeting is next Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Cafe Fasika (447 N. Indian Creek Dr., Clarkston, GA 30021. Go to http://www.transformhaiti.org/News.html for directions.

  3. Support our adopted school, Ferme Ecole Nationale de Furcy, in Haiti. It will take approximately $50,000 to get the pilot program on its feet. You can make a difference by donating to the cause on The Haitian Alliance website. Go to http://www.transformhaiti.org/Donations.html, and click on "Adopt a Tree".

  4. Join the "Pennies for Trees" committee.
Have a great weekend!
